Who really benefits if the bidders reveal all?

entrance.jpg

In his latest opinion piece, OVF founder Rob Fielding takes issue with Mo Chaudry’s appeal for bidders to reveal their identities. Here’s Rob’s latest blog… First, let’s put one thing straight.* I still think Mo Chaudry could be an excellent … Continue reading →

i think mo is fishing to see who he is up against and i dont blame him in one way the others obviously know all about mo so he will feel at a disadvantage but unfortunatley for him he is no position to call the shots no matter how much it upsets him

if his passion for the club is what he has said all along he will know what it requires, up to him really now, stick or twist

good article rob

I agree.Reading between the lines,I think that Mo is struggling to decide where to pitch his bid. Clearly a knowledge of the other contestants would be an advantage. Since three have already submitted their bids without knowledge of their rivals it seems only fair that Mo should do the same.

What is a OVF-Robot ? Do they make tea and wake you up in the morning?

There are a lot of divisions now between supporters . Tomorrows gate will be interesting. I think that the poor PR and the ridulous prices increases will lose far more over the remaining home games than the 5% increase would gain next season. By my calculations a loss of one eigth of the gate for the last 4 games of this season would equate to approx the 5% increase for the remaining seven eighths for the WHOLE of next season. Was it worth announcing when there was no need to do so?

They could endup with a much lower price this way.

I have fired all the OVF servants and replaced them with automatic machines funded by the numerous paypal donations. Actually, the features on the frontpage have been created by this fellow for the last 15 years...

In reality... the ovf-robot is an automated forum account that takes posts from the front page every ten minutes and flings them into this forum without so much as a "by your leave..."

Sorry, Nick. You will have to help me out with this one. If Mo had details of the other bids, he could pitch his bid at a few grand more. If he has no details of the other bids, he might have to bid £50k over to make sure he wins. Either way, how would we end up with a lower price? The only person to gain from knowledge of the other bids would be Mo himself.

Because there will be no gazzumping and no bidding war. A lower price is better, as long as the creditors pass the CVA , as it leaves more free cash for team strengthening.

TBH, I don't understand the hoo-ha over this. If someone like MC wanted such info for himself, he could find it, and probably a lot more, privately. I'm getting sick and tired of endless speculation regarding the motives of our only publically declared potential buyer.

Why the surprise this sort of thing has been going on for ages.
