I understand that the first wave off staff have been told to pack their bags. Hayley the commercial manager and the media guy John have been told to go, and good old deakins pa has voluntarily given up her role, jump before she was pushed more like! Feel sorry for Hayley and john (who has only been at the club for mere weeks) but have no sympathy for ms jones. Let's hope there won't be any/many more to follow!

This was inevitable - I mean I know it's a shame for staff losing their jobs at any time but these should have gone before any staff on the playing/coaching side were looked at. Another masterstroke by Perry Dickwit, bring in a load of staff you can't afford and then make out you've increased your revenue by 200% - you couldn't make it up.

What about the staff whos contracts were taken over by Azure? When we come out of admin, probabaly with a "new" company running PVFC, the contract with azure will be null and void. Will the Vale re-employ these people?

with this plus the £50k+ from Lee Collins, the £20k from the collection buckets and the reducing wage bill, we're on our way to solving the mess and setting the finances straight

 

lets hope the first team squad isn't affect too much, although there is surplus still there

whats the difference in the General Manager role (Sallyann Eccleston) and the Club Secretary role (Bill Lodey)?

 

never understood why we had both roles. surely one for our size of club would surfice?

Feel sorry for anyone who has lost their job, sadly they are another victim of the previous regime. That said I think it's pretty clear the set-up at Vale has needed streamlining especially since Deakin got involved so sadly this has been necessary.

The contract Azure currently have with the club will be with "Valiant 2001" or whatever. Surely, when someone new takes over, the assets will be transfered to a new company, and "Valiant 2001 ltd" will be liquidated. That being the case, Azure will have no contract in place with the "new" company running the club. I don't know for sure though.
