If the women can achieve the same rewards in tennis as the men I'm sure that's what the footballers want as well?

Sorry, but that's comparing apples and oranges.

Tennis has evolved side by side through history, where as womens football has come and gone through history. People are more than willing to pay the same ticket price at Wimbledon, wether it's women or men playing. But look at the crowds at the Euros right now. Not even a 4000 capacity stadium, can be even close to being sold out. Even with the two end stands closed.

Not to begin on the ticket prices. I know Englands games are more expensive and close to being sold out. Even though I suspect a vast amount of free tickets has been given out to schools, if you look at the demographic of the crowds. But for 'category C' games, they almost give them away: 5 quid for a Euros game. I say that again: 5 quid for a Euros game. And not even at that price, they are able to sell out a 4000 capacity stadium.

And speaking of crowds, more people get excited about the national team, it's the same here in Denmark. Biggish crowds for the national team, but crowds for the league has been stagnated for many years. And stagnated at 'very small' that is.

My main problem with all this is, that they try to force feed it down peoples throats. Not letting it evolve naturally, but YOU MUST LIKE THIS. And it's all the way from FIFA, down to the local FA's. And I know it's because they know there's money to be made. But, and I can't state this enough: let it evolve naturally!

Do you think it helps when the media covering the games claim that the England team is too white?

I don't know and honestly don't really care.

Everything has to be about 'representation' these days, so why not this as well... 🤷‍♂️

Everything just includes the England team it seems, none of their three group opponents got a mention about their 'representation',despite their lack of it.

Denmark is the same as England. We have ONE Afghan refugee, who has been milking her story for all it's worth and then some. Only to now become an ambassador for the WC in Qatar? You couldn't make it up 🤦‍♂️

What are these quotas? I will keep an eye on the trend of the thread.

I think your time would be better spent contacting BBC Presenter Eilidh Barbour and ask her which England  players she would like to drop after winning 8-0.She's obviously got a problem with the line-up?
