not sure if any/many people listen to this morning show on talksport . however during the last two weeks our club has been slaughtered imo .

 

last week they suggested that vale had spent their way to oblivion paying large player wages and this week they went a stage further suggesting that we deserved a greater punishment than -10 points, never mentioned this with regards to rangers or pompei though (wonder why) . they (well saggars) infered that being relegated 2 divisions would be more befitting and that clubs like dagenham and wimbledon are being hard done too. where was saggars when wimbledon lost their club when it was franchised ? where was the media then ?

 

on the show was a representative from the football league . saggars suggested that the football league don't do enough to protect clubs from being run by unscrupulous people . he suggested that doing some simple research on the interenet would uncover potential problems before they happen (how ironic) .its a pity saggars didnt do any research himself to see how we have been spending our money ! if we had been spending money on player wages we would not have been struggling to compete with such giants as macc town and mansfield for signatures.

 

on last weeks show it was suggested that football clubs think that the current rules are a bit of a joke and until another club actually goes to the wall nothing will change. well they were partly right , however what they should have said is that until a prem league team goes bust no one will be bothered (if that happened it would be the end of the world ) .

 

going back to the football league rep , he said that directors of clubs once vetted (joke) were obviously allowed free reign . he said that they could not act on rumour only hard facts .in respect of hard facts , its a pity they didnt check with either luton town or northampton too see what kind of person miller was ! the lge rep also stated that if a director had a criminal record they would be refused the right to be director !!!! (joke surely ?) .

As a regular Poortalk listener most of what is "presented" is designed to be provocative and argumentatively debated due to the profile of listeners creating debate. If they said nothing but in agreement, there'd be no debate, no programming and no station.

With more clubs going in to admin on a regular basis the league will have to chage the rules.If you can't run your business then you should be thrown out of the league.Doing it twice is just taking the mick it's unfair on clubs that run a tight ship.
