Reasons to be cheerful

We have spent so long looking at all of the bad things around the club over the last few weeks that I thought it would be a good time to look at some of the good things about the Vale at the moment:

1. There isn't as much dog sh!t in the ally leading to Bycars park anymore. Insisting that my son takes his sh!tty show off before he gets in the car is a thing of the past. Even the dogs are abandoning Vale park now and all of the sh!t seems to come from the directors not some loose mongrel these days.

2. There is more more space in the gents on the paddock these days. I haven't had to queue for months now!

3. We don't have anymore big games which means that I never have to get someone out of my seat after 10 minutes of each half.

4. The catering is cr@p so I am actually saving money each week by not buying the food and drink.

5. By the time he reaches his teenage years, my son will have realised that there is more to life than just winning and will have grown into a more rounded person as a result.

6. Whatever happens we aren't Stoke fans

7. I don't have to do the pulling your sweater down and your trousers up thing after jumping up when we score - its doesn't happen that often and its hard to be enthusiastic about.

8. Parking is so much easier. I even get a little exercise by refusing to pay to park on the co-op.

9. Loads of the nice people from the supporters club stop me and ask my opinion on the way to the ground. As a married man, i am sure that you will appreciate that being asked my opinion doesn't happen too frequently.

10. Following the directors attempts to run a business has helped me to get really good at solving crime dramas. I always seem to know what the evil character is doing. I just think "What is the most stupid thing that a man could do in this situation and make it obvious to everyone that he has done it." Somehow in my mind though, the evil one always ends up being called 'Oliver'.

11. I find it hard to loose my temper at home. My sons attempts to wash his x box in the bath or scratch the dirt off my car with a nail seem to pale into insignificance when I think about the damage being done to my club.

12. Things can only get better - according to Professor Brian Cox and his band!

Mine too,if any family member sees anyone on TV telling lies they are instantly called 'Bratt'.

I just keep imagining someone like Pete Williams, Martin Tideswell of Gary Benson turning round at the EGM and saying "and, just one more thing". :D

We score that infrequently at home that I forget sometimes that you are suppose to stand up and clap to Glad All Over. Either that or I can't be bothered.!!!!!!!
