Unfortunately the fight is not on the pitch for the next 6 months, it is most certainly off it. We are not going to get relegated with this squad but we may go out of business if we don't secure things off the pitch. Yes I would like new signings, but I would rather have a club I can go and watch.

Swings and roundabouts, we need as many points as we can for when admin comes so therefore it stands to reason we need far better players.

 

It's what's reasonable to be honest and clearing the three pieces of deadwood that we have along with any other crap we can get rid of in January and replacing them with less but better players for the same or less money makes the key aspect of the club a more viable asset.

 

Spending money on transfers or spending stupid money on wages and increasing the squad would indeed be foolish however we need to ensure we can still produce a viable product.

Indeed it would be foolish. I agree with "Vale", we do not have the money to spend on new players in January and I would be very surprised if anyone comes in.

 

If we deliberately spend money knowing that the financial state of the club is perilous, we might be accused of financial irregularities. Wasn't it 35 points they were finally docked? That would relegate us.

 

If admin arrives, and I would think it would arrive sooner if we're spending money we don't have, then the first thing that will happen is we will lose players. So in my view it is better to stick with the squad we have and if admin arrives we would most likely be docked only 10 points.
