The blog wasn’t misleading. The numbers turning up are more than ever. Black and gold and Mark Porter and the SC are doing sterling work.

Michael Baggeley does superb work for us and it’s as easy to go onto his updates as it is come on here.

All you need to know is that there isn’t an Asian buyer. As much was said.

Christine Seddon

 

Christine Seddon, chair of the Blackpool Supporters’ Trust speaks.

 

She says it’s not for them to tell Vale fans what to do, but they are happy to offer advice if they can.

 

She explains they had been boycotting for around four years and protesting for six against the owners.

 

She explains Blackpool’s decline even though millions went into the club after it reached the Premier League.

 

She says protestors had to come through a lot, were dismissed and told they were fools.

 

She says fans were actually threatened with legal action.

 

She said they went to the EFl but they couldn’t help because the club was a private business. So, all they could do was withhold their money (boycott).

 

She says she sincerely hopes Vale fans don’t have to do that. She says the boycott decision was so hard for Blackpool supporters, but it did send out a message that fans can’t be dismissed.

 

She says Blackpool fans have stuck together and that unity was crucial. She says the court action by a minority shareholder against the owner played a big part but so did the protests depriving the owner of money.*

 

She adds: “We virtually had to kill the thing we love to save it, but it has worked.”

Then there was Smurthwaites email to a fan on Saturday where he finishes off by saying “if I put the club into administration I save 500k in capitol gains tax”
