Am I right in thinking that Kevan wasn't Johns choice of assistant? Looks like he was local and cheap because he had been out of work for a long time. Classic recruitment policy.

In the Askey interview he says “we tried to keep it as local as we can”, I assumed they were friends and had worked together before. I have no idea what Kevan has been up to recently. But now you mention it there’s a noticeable shift in Askeys body lanaguage when he starts to talk about Kevan. But as long as they work well together that’s the main thing though.

There didn't appear to be any mention of the contract situation?

Mike Bagguley in The Sentinel said the question was definitely being asked, i've seen nothing mentioned unless i missed it.

I agree at the minute we have to stumble over the line however we achieve that.

I've read one or two forums, Macc and Shrews and they conflict.

Macc saying 4-5-1 , Shrews saying wingers in a 4-3-3.

 

Ultimately we have to stay up playing any way .

For starters despite me being a critic of Aspins' negative lay out it wouldn't bother me if we go 10-0-0 on Saturday as we must avoid defeat.

 

Anyone ( me included ) who thinks we are suddenly going to go gung ho at Cambridge is deluded at best.

He was at the Carlisle and Newport games so he'll know how we set up home and away,he also said in the RS interview that he'd also speak to Danny Pugh.

A lot will depend on whose available.
