Whilst the 24.9% rule stays in place, we will NEVER move forward. No one is going to put a substantial amount of money into any business without sole control. And we're a perfect example of how a fan run club, with multiple small shareholdings doe NOT WORK.

 

 

There are so many fans that just cant understand or accept this. The rule means that we will always be LITTLE.

Good points and they are proven that ruling by committee never works, but with a proven excellent CEO leading the decision making it could in practice function!!

 

The downside to sole ownership is the very vehicle we are all endeavouring to use to remove this current bunch would be removed, there'd be no egm in its current guise and no voice for the fan base.

At least with the Mark & Mo 24.9 approach both parties would still be answerable to the shareholding.

I've got an open mind on Mo, my only worry is, you don't become a successful business man by sentimentally keeping hold of loss making organisations....and lets face it we are not profit making as is the case in 90% of football clubs.

Having 24.9% on ownership gives us that control and a safety net if needed.

Mo for me - I backed him first time around, I agree with his comments about needing a single owner, I also had a conversation with him today (a complete chance meeting with the guy) and I'm convinced that he is 100% up for it

In my opinion, the best thing that could happen to the club is the removal from the Articles of this noose aroung PVFC's neck.

 

Ideally for me, one man with money, running the whole thing would be the best option.

 

Totally agree with all of that, but we do need to realise for that to happen someone has to come forward with an offer to buy the existing shares from the existing shareholders at a price that will garner support from 75% of the shareholding.

 

So if someone comes forward with such an offer (no one to date has), then they would surely get my support.

No matter who took over, it would be a gamble but we certainly couldn't be any worse off than we are now. In my view, Mo Chaudry has passion,has engaged with the fans and has presented a credible vision for the future. In fact, everything that has been lacking over the past nine years. I can't see what so many people have got against him. I hope he takes over and the sooner the better.

I would welcome any new investor, (1 person not a group again) But I would more than welcome Mo, and I want Mo in but if he was to not be interested than another single investor would compensate.

I'm open to whomever presents the best opportunity for long term success and sustainability to PVFC. At this point, the only potential interest that meets this quite open ended criteria is Mo Chaudry.

 

If you know otherwise or you are hiding other potential investors under your bed, bring them out. I'd be very interested in what they might have to say.

I don't think Stan Meigh is bothered about an active role in the running of the club.

 

I think as long as he can watch the game in the comfort of the nice seats with a tipple in the lounge before and after then he'd be happy.
