Colour vision defects

Recommended Posts

I am watchimg from Aus and heard the commentary that Pope is chasing. I thought it was two defenders. Now I know my peepers aint too great, I know I have a slight colour vision defect. I work in electronics and I CAN see colours. However, it beggars belief that today, some absolute d1 ck head decided that purple was a better colour to differentiate the teams than blue v white.

While I am here, why on earth are yellow balls used in winter. Yellow is far closer to the green spectrum of colour than white, especially under winter floodlights, so why make it harder for fans. Who the f 1 ck is charge of football these days?? It is all complete and utter bals hit. I lose the will to watch at midnight sometimes. I keep going though. Onwards and upwards. Come on Vale!!

Is there some sponsor requirement that we play x number of games in the purple strip?

Good question... I can't remember ever having heard the kit maker making that part of the deal.

But I have heard clubs say, that they wear it as often as humanly possible, so the fans who spend their money on it, don't just see it once or twice a season.

Was it last season or the season before, that one of the big four in the Premier League, had a third kit they sold shitloads of, but never actually wore in the season once...
