Title: Port Vale bid for Chesterfield striker rejected--Notts signed him

yeah 100% agree with that post ideally bringing in 25 goals across 3 players would be better than 1 capable of scoring 25 himself. Imagine you pay 100k and hes injured after a preseason friendly like Barnett and doesnt even get fit till January

Simple when you put it like that! Our 15 scorers apart from Tom only scored 34 between them last season....

A Nottingham mate of mine tells me that County want Dennis and have made a second improved bid for him, but I don't know how true that is. He thinks they bid 50K but will probably go up to 100k.

Dennis is worth less now than he was in January when clubs looking for promotion might have gone a bit crazy.

I think he's 28 so still has a few years left in his prime.

They need to replace Grant, 19 goals last season, who was on loan from the Trees.

Would rather us spend £100k on some promising, young but 'proven' player(s).

Liam Mandeville is a 21 year old attacker from Doncaster who is transfer listed and someone I would go for instead. He got 7 goals in 21 games during their L2 promotion season and is young enough to improve and have resale value.

Signed for £150k Notts, impressed by the crowds of 13,000 and 17,000. Difficult to compete with a play-off team.

Who can blame him as you say Fosse69. Just down the road from his old club Chesterfield and unlike us Notts Co were challenging at the right end of the table. Even if we had matched the offer in comparison we must appear like a car crash. Relegated the season before and only a cats whisker away from repeating the act this season. It must be in a players mind when he has different options.
