At the risk of being shot down which I well and truly expect I think for the past few seasons big changes were needed at the club. We needed to clean the decks and simply get rid of the under performing players. At the start of last season I think the team were playing beyond themselves but I think we are kidding ourselves if we think that if mickey had stayed we would have got promotion. The cracks were already emerging. Maybe jim gannon for all of his faults should have.been given more time at least a season. His squad assessment of the players not being good enough was bang on. He just wanted to do too much too soon. Maybe he would have been a success this season maybe he wouldn't but we do need a drastic change in personnel and ideas. Gannon was also right about the coaching staff. They are under qualified and we have a goalkeeper as our main coach.

I agree with all of your comments and I feel exactly the same. Last night didn't even hurt when we lost. I was expecting it too.

 

I've been going since 1987 and I'm losing interest by the week.

Sorry to disappoint you about being shot down Chopper, but I agree 100%. The big difference between Gannon and Adams is that Adams is likeable and Gannon is not.

I think it is a decent shout. He just didn't help himself. He should have accepted what we about and seen us into the playoffs. To be 3rd at Christmas and not finish top 7 was pretty poor.

 

However, he was right in everything he said regarding players and staff. That is now being proven.
