Bums on seats.

the idea has been discussed on here before about allowing a ST holder to bring a friend for a greatly reduced price on a selected game, this rewards both the ST holders loyalty and should add bums on seats

One problem with that is that season ticket holders would just wait for someone outside the turnstyles looking to pay full price, then offer them the cheap ticket for a couple of quid extra, thereby actually losing the club cash!

Possibly

Perhaps the offer could be on tickets bought in advance only ?

We certainly need to get more people into the ground, but how?

We don't want hoards of 5/6 year olds running up and down kicking plastic bottles for sure, we need people to come and watch, spend some money and more than anything, give them a reason to return.

Personally I believe we need to set realistic entrance fees, target certain games where we know the away following will be poor and drop prices to encourage support.

This may seem a really radical idea, but why not offer to help pay for away coaches to visit Vale Park.....that way away fans may be more inclined to visit!

Real Vale fans who bought their STs when the rabble were SEO and moaning? Surely not.

Fred , if whats on show is up to it they will come back whatever. I went on Saturday and saw something I never wish to see again even for £1.

Forget building overpriced restaurants that nobody will use (the product has to worth it here as well) and extra stands that no one will sit in. The TEAM desperately needs a cash injection, and probably a new coach, that will bring em back.

For one game only lets get some supporters in the ground.

I propose 1 pound entry across the board.

So what if it isnt good financially in the short term. If we can get bums on seats and manage to get a couple of hundred of those who have stayed away back then it will be fruitfull for the club in the long term.

What fanbase do we have?

How many people can we bring back?

Lets have an almost free match for paying customers instead of having 13000 empty seats every other week.

Southend did a £5 offer at their last but one home game and got almost 11,000 attending!

It was just a thought off the top of my head.

Some decent suggestions on here but lets face it, we have 13000 empty seats every week.

It would be an achievement to get half of them filled.

We ought to try and convert (thats a good word:D) some egg chasers. They take up 3 seats at a time. Would make the ground look full.

I agree the Fa cup first round may well be a great idea for this!

If we draw a small team then the £1 entry fee would be an incentive for them too possibly sell 3,000 and also to make sure vale fans turn up! We would also receive some money should we make it through the round!

That would be unlikely, as the admission price has to be agreed between the two clubs and a non-league side will want it to be as high as possible so they could generate some cash from the tie.

Maybe £10 Adults and £5 kids then?? To a non league club that may well be a high price? I wouldnt know...
