Nice try but I don't think it will work. Who is going to pay £3 to park further away than normal if they can find a place in one of the side streets, closer to the ground, for free? And if it's raining...

 

Smithie is right about the speed of the cars zooming up and down the Hamil. It's ridiculous when there are lots of fans trying to cross the road.

I don't know anyone who did but with lots of parking available on the side streets closer to the ground [for free] I'd be amazed if anyone opted to park twice as far away and pay £3 into the bargain! For a "big" match, perhaps it's viable but not for the crowds we get currently.

People should always have priority over pieces of metal, however shiny and expensive, on roads where there are likely to sometimes be crowds.

 

It is not unreasonable to expect to be held up and have to drive much slower and with much more care when there is an event that attracts crowds.

 

Between 1330 and 1530, and again between 1645 and 1800 on Saturdays when Vale are at home, Hamil Road and other roads near the round should have a 15 mph speed limit - in some parts of Holland there are similar zones where 15kph is the limit (that's 9 mph) during school drop off and collection times.

 

It is only for a few minutes and only ******** would object to having to wait a very short time to ensure safety.

 

The car park is too far from the ground to be much use unless, as said by other posters, there is a larger than usual attendance.
