avim , it is a real pity you weren't about to convince people it was a crock and that they were being lied to at the time. you could have been the saviour to many a mug , approx 900 or so at a guess?

fans bought shares in good faith but are expected to lump it while one of the old guard walks away with his money back + 260k + perks , priceless stuff.

Priceless stuff indeed and a lesson learnt for all im sure.

Sainsburys shares have value and will under King do very well in the long term, one of the reasons for the temporary stagnation is the major expansion plan they have undertaken.

Port Vale shares were sold with a promise it was a fan run club and that buying shares would make a difference and were therefore miss sold, never again would we return to the dictatorship of Bell (Read Bratt )

There is no value in Vale shares and future is not as promising as Sainsburys so in my opinion your argument is flawed.

Not at all, its not about the type of business, its about the theory.

You shoudlnt invest in a company, if you think you should have the right to ask for your money back when it isn't performing .

Can you imagine the world now if that was the case after the last couple of years market movements.

I was merely pointing out human nature whether you think its right or wrong, its whats in some people's nature, thats life.

Totally agree. Especially in the murky world of small, private businesses. Rump shareholders, rightly or wrongly, routinely get ripped off.

oh i think i did , it is you who does not understand.

you ( invested ) your money to gain financial reward ?

fans (invested) to gain the opportunity to have a say in the running of their club , in the hope that they would be listened to , (not ) for financial gain .

So basically PVFC sharholders aren't getting what they wanted in return, I arent getting what I wanted in return, lets all get our money back, yeah?

BB has sold his shares, nothing stopping you doing so. To ask for a refund, thats life, you made the wrong choice, live with it.

many people are living with it, at the same time hating the old regime and not trusting the newer characters one bit, thats human nature

it is nothing to do with theory at all.

it is about fans donating to have a say in the club they love. being lied to and now having any opportunity of having their say taken away.

once again to reiterate it has nothing to do with investing for financial gain but for the opportunity to register opinion on something they love the running of their club.

If you were promised 50%+ per year dividend, no matter what the financial circumstances of the company, which formed a decisive part of the sales agreement... would you be happy?

well folks as the thread title says . would you like to sell your shares ?seeing as it is likely that the very reason you bought your shares (to have a say in the running of the club) will become impossible when the new share purchases take place .

your voice will not be heard as a small shareholder , so don't you think you have a right just like bill bratt to your money back ? if you wish to leave your money where it is as a gift then fair enough but if you want your money back you deserve to .

Bill Bratt is selling his shares to another shareholder which is allowed under the Articles of Association.

If anyone wants to sell them all they have to do is find someone to buy them, as Melv did and as Bill Bratt did.

The club aren't allowed to buy any back.

Since shareholders cannot sell thier shares back to the club, only to other members of V2001, and then only with the permission of the directors, when would that happen? It is cheaper to gain control by buying existing shares, perhaps when the mystery investor(s) are known and thier attitude(s) with BS are known, they may wish to have a near 50% joint holding, also they may wish to change the 24.9% rule. Thus an offer to existing shareholders could be made, similar to MC`s conditional offer. Obviously the downside is less money into the club. In the longer term is the club likely to be sold for a profit by the major shareholder(s), then we could all cash in? In the short term could the board arrange a shareholder swopshop with cash changing hands for pensioners needing to cash in?
