Ally Simcock resigns - thoughts ?

There are always one or two who have to have a go. Tell you what why don't you all put yourselves forward to take on the role? You may then realise what a time consuming thankless task it is. The SC meetings are advertised via numerous sources, whether you choose to go or not is up to you. Ally has done a good job in difficult circumstances what with her own illness and having to deal with our Chairman. Why can't people just wish her well?

Don't see anybody not wishing her well.

That's completely different to questioning the success of her in the role which everyone has the right to do.

"What exactly did Simlock ever do? What does this deputy dog do. What do the supporters club do? Meet in secret and send an e-mail now and again to the great unwashed?"

I don't see any good wishes there

Not a lot at all, that said she has health issues so there are extenuating circumstances.

If the SC is finally to be taken seriously it needs to communicate with its members properly and address the perception of Port Vale and it's fans in the football world.

Is that your manifesto, REP? Are you standing? It will give you lots of opportunities to have little tete-a-tetes with the chairman. You seem to know everything about how to run the club so I think your time has come. Go for it, youth.

People have a go because they are not happy with what is... just like people who criticise smurfs rule at Vale.

My criticism of the SC isnt directed at Ally personally but the way the SC does business.

She is ill and health is probably the most important thing... good luck to her

Completely agree with all of that, he should stand. He should also apply for the vacant managers position come 5pm after the Fleetwood game, but could he work with Brown as his assistant?

Cheers youth 😂

It needs someone in the know who has a can do attitude and someone that doesn't travel 1,000's of air miles a month. Best bet in my opinion is someone retired and who lives locally, loves the club, attends all matches, who can dedicate all their free time to it.....
