I think its pretty clear this investment is going to be used to improve the 'off the field' side of things. Very little of it will go to Micky to spend on the side. The boards argument will be that once we are setup correctly off the field ie: finishing the Lorne street, robbie williams suite and other various income streams and the improvement of our training facilties. . .that these things will eventually bring money into the club which will in turn get spent on the first team and maybe increase our budget for future seasons.

I have to agree with the fella before I am happy for us to build solid foundations rather than building our house on the sand.

 

If true then I would be happy with that, you don't need big money to get out of this league but you would the further you progress.

my initial question on this thread was how much of the investment do people think should be spent on team strengthening .

with the massive 8 million investment, which has been bagged by deakin and lloyd and subsequent comment from deakin, that now vale have allegedly got the money "it is not just as simple as throwing money at the team" .

personally i think at least 1 million should be set aside for team bolstering whether it be loans or permanent signings. it could be spread out between now for loans , january for the transfer window and at the end of the season for signings for our obvious promotion to div 1 wil have taken place.
