Premiership 16/17 Season

Recommended Posts

Christ how many have you got Liverpool scoring this season?

A lot!

If Sturridge stay's fit then you can expect him to score 20 Premier League goals at least. It's a big if though admittedly. Firmino should score between 10 and 15, as should Wijnaldum again. Mane scored 11 goals in the league for Southampton so should be looking to better than with better players around him. Both Origi and Ings have goals in them too. There's plenty of goals in the Liverpool side, though the style of football Klopp likes to play they will also concede, especially if Moreno is still the 1st choice left-back!

He played 18 games in total. He has a better goals to games ratio than Martial and almost as many assists despite playing in far fewer games. He's a much more complete forward.

I think you have lost the plot mate , you were posting a bit of sense a few pages back, have you been hacked? Change your password 😂😂

As I said a few weeks back, your Centre midfield looks awful, you will struggle to score as you won't get the ball to the forwards without hoofing it.

Can and Coutinho are far from awful. You can't seriously believe what you just wrote? Milner also had plenty of assists last season. The one thing Liverpool are lacking in midfield is a ball-winner type.

I wondered how long it would be until you got over excited Beechy! It's a friendly, it means nothing at all other than a fitness exercise.

It means plenty. Does it mean that Liverpool are suddenly better than Barcelona, or that they would win 4-0 in a more important game between the two? No, of course it doesn't. But it was a terrific counter-attacking performance against a top side that included players like Suarez, Messi and Mashcherano that want to win every game, even if it's just a kick about in the park. Are you trying to tell me that there players aren't bothered that they not only lost the game, but got tonked? If you are then there manager Enrique has a very different opinion to yourself!

With the forward players Liverpool have they can put any side to the sword this season if they are all at it. Liverpool put 7 past Man City last season in total and that was without the added quality of Wijnaldum and Mane. Lots to be excited and optimistic about in regards to what is a young, attacking side under the guidance of a terrific young manager.

They looked very good going forward with plenty of support from overlaps movement was excellent , think henderson is going to have fight for his place, moreno looked much improved although the defence had some shakey moments quick 1-2s opened em up- think they will score regulary Mane looks class and ideal for tight sitting back team

-lots to be positive about will be interesting to see who makes top 4 as could be quite open again

I expect big things from Grujic and he could make the breakthrough to the first 11 this season, so you're right about Henderson. Klopp likes him a lot though and he's still the captain. I honestly don't think anyone will score more goals than Liverpool next season in the league, just a somewhat biased hunch I have. I can actually see a Liverpool team without Sturridge for the first time since Saurez left.

Well firstly Barcelona didn't put out anywhere near a full strength team, with a lot of their best players at the back and in midfield rested as they've only just come back to training. Secondly Liverpool played a number of potential starters today and got tonked 4-0. Does that suddenly mean they are rubbish? No of course not. It's a friendly and the results are meaningless. It's all well and good doing it against a weakened Barcelona side, but pointless if you can't do it against a full strength Stoke side. Liverpool fans rival Arsenal with overhyping their team, so excuse me for taking any hype with just a pinch of salt!

The results are only meaningless in your humble opinion. Any footballer should want to win a game of football no matter what's on the line or isn't. Today Liverpool were missing both goalkeepers, Lovren, Clyne, Milner, Lucas, Coutinho, Wijnaldum, Firmino, Mane and Sturridge, basically the first 11, up against a decent side in Mainz on there own turf who were much more up for it than the Liverpool players were. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to play two competitive friendly games within 24 hours needs sectioning to begin with.

Oh, and Barca may not have been at full strength but still started two of the three best players on the planet, Messi and Suarez, along with the likes of Stegan, Busquets, Mascherano and Pique. Barcelona rarely get beaten 4-0 no matter what side they put out or what competition it's in, or even friendlies in yesterday's case.
