SEO is Working

I am one who did not attend yesterday in any shape or form.

The gate was between 400-600 down on what we might normally have expected.

I think all the campaigns combined have had a serious impact and have resulted in change. Maybe change has not been as fast as many of us wanted it to be but the scenario is completely different to what it was 6 months ago.

I don't think anyone expected there to be thousands marching and then not attending the game. The figure was about what I expected. A few hundred marching and another few hundred sitting at home.

These losses (400-600) are unsustainable. I look forward to reading the financial update in December to see if the debt of over £3 million is still rising.

Equally I will follow the team's fortunes with great interest and see what the gates are in the cold winter months. I suspect a lot of those missing few hundred will be noticed then.

The SEO campaign has in part contributed to change and not been a failure.

Malcolm I cannot see them doing anything else than ignoring anything MS recommends after listening to ML yesterday.

Its ironic that MS has put more into this club, his club, than any of the other board members and they treat him so badly.Mark you must wonder if its worth it? You have tried your best for all the fans and our club we salute you.Walk away with your head held high if you dont succeed......they arent worth it.I'll be right behind you.[/quote

Quite correct Mark Sims and Robbie Williams have put more money into the club than anybody else but the way they have been treated is a disgrace and the the rank and file shareholders of Port Vale have been treated like dog dirt:(

Starve Em Out is only working to a certain degree. The Paddock snack bar ran out of Greene King yesterday and had only cheese n onion pasties at H/T. There was a decent crowd there, not massive by any stretch of the imagination, so on the whole it doesnt look dire. I didnt witness the protest, so cant comment. It does pain me to see Vale fans so split though.

Thought we sold the food side of things off recently? So, a) we wouldn't be making much money from it anyway (I think I read we do get a small cut of profits) and, b) we should have a word with the new catering team about leaving our fans unfed and unhappy.

I think that's probably a fair point.

The unfortunate thing is we have had almost 3 months in the close season to try and sort out an acceptable solution for everyone involved but it has not happened.

Instead opinions have hardened and now we have this appalling situation of Vale fans arguing with Vale fans while the 2-3 smug directors behave as if they hadn't got a care in the world. Had they resigned after the EGM as the overwhelming majority wanted none of this would have occurred. The root cause is their intransigence.

It might be more profitable now to consider constructive ways of breaking this impasse.

I fear if MS's proposal is turned down we will be back to square one.

We are in deep waters now and in imminent danger of losing permanently about 400-600 supporters.

The gate yesterday was affected by holidays and the season starting earlier than usual. Also, it is certainly my intention to spend more in the ground than I usually do and that is intended to undermine SEO. Call it famine relief if you light. The PV clock on my wall bought in the shop yesterday is ticking away nicely.

Same time as last season, and the season before, and the season before that .....

The PV clock on my wall bought in the shop yesterday is ticking away nicely.

Whereas the one on the Lorne Street said 8.30 at kick off ... and at half time .... and at the end of the game. Your's clearly isn't a proper PV clock - take back.
