Board To Meet Fans

Simon is absolutely right.

At the meeting with Perry Deakin and the Board that I attended a week last Thursday (as Mark Sims proxy representative) it was pointed out to them that it was a terrible indictment that for a supposedly fan based club they had avoided any public meetings with the fans for a long time.

They (the CEO and Board) all agreed to attend a forthcoming public meeting.

I was then responsible for arranging the date and venue on behalf of the Supporters Club.

On the basis that Baddeley Green has more capacity than the Vale and is free to hire I contacted them and they stated that Sunday afternoon was the best time for them.

At that point Mike Lloyd asked if they could have a meeting with the pro-change groups representatives before then.

On that basis tomorrow for the open meeting was too soon. Next Sunday was not convenient (for me as much as anyone else) So the following Sunday was agreed.

Hopefully change will be underway by then if Mark Sims proposals are taken on board. If not then it will be your opportunity to ask why not.

Personally I believe that no meetings or changes would have happened if there had not been a concerted call for change with the formation of the pro-change groups.

Finally, the meeting is open to all Vale fans irrespective of your views.

Board Agree To Meet Fans

There will be a private meeting between the Board and representatives of Supporters Club, Black & Gold, Starve em Out, and North London Valiants this coming Thursday evening.

Additionally Perry Deakin and the Board have agreed to a open public meeting with the fans, chaired by the Supporters Club, at 2pm on Sunday August 21st at Baddeley Green WMC. All welcome.

Regards,

Dave F

Cheers Dave.

I deleted the other thread as you requested and I really must get my SC form back to you

It's interesting timing, Thursday, considering they are due to give their response to Mark Sims on Wednesday.

Could I suggest that everything is going to the timetable? :shifty:

Dave,

It states ALL the board, so will this include Micky?

Why the need for a meeting, don't the Board know what is needed of them? Supporters agreeing to meet with them suggests to me that you are willing to come to some sort of compromise. And why two meetings??? Just playing for time IMO and the various representatives are falling for it.

Thanks for your opinion. It is, nevertheless, worthless

Interestingly Micky was not at the meeting so I don't know - I will ask.

I think Micky will jump the Board's ship before the ink has dried on whoever is next to sign up as Director.

Cheers Dave,

Now just got to finish my oatcakes (Cheese and bacon, yum), wipe the grease off my keyboard and then get ready for the march. Hope to see you on the march and/or outside the ground.

Got to dig my old portable radio out :D

I am sorry Dave but the meeting between fans at board on the 21st is pointless

They know what we want, Mark Sims has given them an ultimatum

They have promised Mark a decision by Wednesday

If they turn him down and Bratt and Oliver stay then they deserve no chance to meet the fans, it will be SEO and protests will get nasty i imagine.
