To some locals especially the younger generations atm, picking vale is like picking your local non-league side. Vale will get overlooked if things carry on. I can see a non-league vale at some point in this decade.

every match much until adams left is pretty much as good as youre ever going to get at Vale im afraid, unless we gain a promotion push to the championship (very possible under Adams - look at the teams that go up and then do it again). if you dont like it you should stop going full stop.

 

i dont remember you moaning or protesting before christmas last year and this is proof that the majority of you are fickle children spitting their dummy out and the animosity is based on (short or long term) results, just as the protests will all stop if we are top of the league in 5 weeks time. Most of you cant even stick to starve em out before a ball has been kicked

 

But then you have to think, the AGM, when Adams was manager, and at the agm. There were protests. Due to the rejection of investment.

you should stop going full stop though. you will never be happy and you are runing it for everyone else who just want to support the club. the history of the Port Vale since 1876 suggests we will very rarely achieve even being in the 2nd teir of the English leagues.

 

But so were teams like Wigan aswell before the 00s, flawed answer going by history or what ever you like.

David you do seem an angry man. Let me though if I may correct you. The demonstrations and protests were going on while Vale were at the top of the league. Remember Mike Newton who hired the Stoke town hall for a well attended meeting and there were other meetings in the Leopards backroom well enough supported for it to be standing room only. Yes the momentum was lifted as we crumbled but most folk including yourself it appears are result driven. For me it isn't just about today it's about our long term future and this shower haven't a clue about running a successful football club in fact I doubt if Bratt & Oliver could 'run a bath!'

Regarding atmostphere yes the atmostphere was good for the Shrews game but Adams was getting the best efforts out of a 'team of workers'. It may just work at this level but boy we would get our bottoms kicked every week in the next level up and this board can't finance a 4th divisin outfit never mind the 3 times the size budget necessary in the 3rd tier.

So go on supporting the lads which is admirable but please stop knocking the ones fighting for change to improve YOUR team.
