Enjoy the game?

It might be just me but I would find it really difficult to enjoy a game, expecially at Vale Park these days.

It's probably a pro-change thing.

Would be better away from home imo but under the current set up I get no feeling of satisfaction. We might get three points now and again and reach top of the league but deep down you know it won't get any better once you get promoted.

I've probably been a Vale fan for too long but it would be interesting to hear other peoples opinions on this.

The atmosphere and VP, or lack of it over the last few years, has been hard to take and it's all because of a lack of hope. Lack of hope in the board and watching hopeless players struggle in a hopeless league.....and its all because of bad mangement at the top and potential investment being turned away so the existing directors can carry on getting the perks. Its going to be rather easy for me to withold my custom for VP this season but it still make me sad to do it.

Remember there is now a generation of young vale fans who have never known a cup run, never known a promotion, seen decline on and off the pitch

Against a background of Peter Coates investing heavily, building a team for progress on and off the pitch and taking Stoke to the FA Cup Final and Europe

Change now, before it's too late

You are right, hope is the missing link and without that you have nothing.

The same Coates that Stoke fans hated, said they'd never go again until he's gone, but now support them and him in the premier league!

I'll be going Vale on Saturday, expecting to enjoy the day! Waiting to see griff hit a shot 10yards over, looking forward to a goal line scramble that we score, let in, miss or get away to safety! Maybe a dodgy back pass, own goal, screamer from 30 yards, could be just a tap in at the back post!

So I suppose yea I will be enjoying the game, if win even more so!

UP THE VALE!

So who do you have in mind to invest that kind of money in the vale? Even mo doesnt have that kind of money. Yes i want the best for port vale but i will still support my team.

dave roberts , well done for picking one game from last season as a highlight for crowd and atmosphere (pretty much the only one ) . let me help you with the next , the season before was notts county probably the only one with a decent crowd and decent atmosphere. two games in two seasons great stuff eh.

once this board have gone we can all look forward to saturdays again , not just those who are blinkered or can't be arrrrsssd to protest .

Have to disagree with you. just because people dont protest doesnt mean they dont want change. The last thing the team want is peoplr screaming an shouting outside the changing room windows before a game! Does lots for confidence that doesnt it.

SO what are you going to do to bring about change? Not trying to stand on a pedestal or anything but I cannot for the life of me see what doing nothing is going to achieve othere than slipping further down the path to oblivion.

No need for that kind of cash - Mo's investment would get us out of this league, give us something to shout about, give our kids a side to be proud of and start the turnaround.

Never mind youth, you're obviously happy with fourth division rubbish - you carry on

So professional footballers (for some I will use that term loosely) who are paid a stupid amount of money have their confidence knocked by people protesting for change outside. Bless, do they need wrapping up in cotton wool?... o wait do we stereotype and say that as they are professional footballers they are no intelligent enough to block this out and go out to the do the job they are PAID to do?

It's like saying everyone who works on a day to day basis, have people around them moaning all day, managers putting pressure on them (some companies under pressure of takeovers) can't do their jobs? Hang on, wait a minute, they still do their jobs as they are paid to do, regardless of going ons around them.
