Motorhead at Vale Park

This legendary concert took place exactly thirty years ago today, with support from Ozzy Osbourne. So I was wondering if any fellow old farts like myself have any memories of the day. I remember it being so loud that I could stand outside my house in Tunstall and hear all the songs clearly, and during the finale of Bomber a bloke parachuting out of a plane, and if I rememebr rightly he should have landed in the ground but due to the high winds ended up in Burslem Park instead.

That line up is spot on, Ted Nugent didn't appear. The ticket stated as Motorhead / Black Sabbath double bill toppers, but Ozzy appeared with Randy Rhoades on guitar. Only chance i had to see him live, i thought they stole the show. Motorhead were on top form having just released "No sleep til Hammersmith" and Frank Marino and Mahogony Rush were also in good form. The rest were not so good, as i remember.
