Ticket Office & Crisps

That explains a lot, the ticket office is now selling food. On Tues night in Lorne street half the food counters had the shutters down and the one side that was opened was manned/womanned (for the politically correct brigade) by 3 people. Used to be 4 people on each side. I know it was a smaller gate but it wasn't halved. Not as if you don't have to wait anyway .the queue is stupidly long. All I want to do is give the club money for food and drink.

New tactic which I hope will prove a winner , am leaving now with sleeping bag so as to get a sausage roll by 4pm tomorrow. In fairness in the past Smurf has been working on the counter serving food. Don't understand whats going on but in all seriousness I always thought selling fans food and drink at halftime was a financial no brainer.

Sorry mate, but no room for Sausage rolls tomorrow as after a short survey it was deemed the Punters only want Crisps. Lol

I can understand that the TO have been swamped with these crisp offers, but to leave the phones unmanned the day before one of our biggest home fixtures of the season is pretty poor to be honest. I tried to call a few times myself and at one point it sounded like the receiver was actually lifted and I was cut off.

 

It will be interesting to see if the crisp offer actually swells the gate with new fans or simply fans who would have gone anyway making the most of the offer, but then again I'm not really sure what the offer is all about.

For a club that is desperate to boost its matchday attendances, you'd think the ticket-office would answer the phone to potential customers. Between the hours of 0945 and 1635 today I have called 17 times without the phone being answered. Same old Vale, you've just missed out on four ticket sales for tomorrow, well done to all involved! :mad:

Oh well. Maybe if our fans weren't taking the **** with this mccoys ticket offer we might be able to sell tickets rather than deal with queues of freeloaders.

You can't exactly blame people for taking advantage of an offer. There is ample amount of time to buy tickets anyway, it's not like we're ever going to sell out at home either, I go in a group of 5 and 3 of those have to buy tickets EVERY SINGLE GAME. We get to the ground around 2:45/2:50 most games and see the entire game, so can't be that bad I'm sorry.

 

Yeah it's poor they aren't answering, always takes a few rings if I ever contact them, but still, I've never been unable to get through completely. They should probably put more staff on though, however bit late for Smurf to see this now.
