I think O'Connor staying is a big vote of confidence from him in Page. He's been quite open and honest in the past that he hates the travel and but enjoys playing for the manager. From last season he would have been the hardest to replace of the "big 3." Great news for the club.

Where are the doom and gloomers ? Signed 3 new players in four days , two solid players at this level in Foley and Street and Kelly is up and coming. Added to that with o connor and we have the basis of a half decent side. Just a few forwards and another centre back to add.

 

Doom and Gloom will be gutted and are no doubt discussing another strategy.:doh::D

Great news and our best player in home fixtures. Some of his performances in away games were rather poor however but overall this is great news. I am starting to believe that offering all the poor players significantly reduced terms rather than just letting them leave was a clever move. Either they go or stay on less money like Birchall. This frees up more money to offer guys like O Connor and Marshall more
