Funnily enough he has an excellent coaching record over many years so he's not a madcap suggestion, even though I wouldn't advocate his return. BTW, did you ever see him play? Absolutely brilliant and not just a 'stopper' midfielder, his passing and vision was superb too. Next to Robbie Earle he's the best player I've ever seen in a Vale shirt (I was too young to appreciate the tail end of Roy Sproson's career as a player).
