May as well close the forum then, part of the joy of footy is talking about it and giving an opinon. If we arent allowed that then half the funs has gone. Lets face it watching it wasnt much fun for much of this season was it? Talking about it has been though.

Did you miss the bit in my post where I said "We can express our opinions of course"? Clearly you did.

The answer is staring you in the face. We should have a "Criticize a friend, bring an envelope" day.

I'm up for that. Do we have to put anything in the envelope? Are there size restrictions - on either the friend or the envelope? I'm not convinced you've thought this through, smithie.

If you compare the negative threads to the positive ones, the criticisms of the bad times with the comments during that good run we had, people condemning and insulting the chairman with the ones praising him for putting more money in to the club than anyone in years, the negative massively outweigh the positive.

I tried to do something positive and get a 'bring a friend day' thread off the ground; it got 24 replies. A thread criticising the club for the envelopes it used got 82.

It is a positive action to point out failings in the club's administration that are an embarrassment to the club.

Maybe you don't grasp the importance of image and spelling someone's name right and getting their postcode right when acknowledging receipt of the most expensive ST the club sell.

No it's not. It's whinging negative bull **** that has become typical of many on this forum. How many times this seaon have you started a thread praising the club? Many good things are happening/ have happened. Did you bother contributing - for example - to the bring-a-friend thread?

The default setting for many people on this forum is to complain and be negative. Norman Smurthwaite has put thousands and thousands of his own money in to the club. For one match, he asks people - in the (maybe mistaken) belief that it was for the benefit of the club - to move a few metres away from where they normally sit and all hell breaks loose. Pages and pages of complaints and insults and whinging, just because they have to sit in a different seat for 1 night. Miserable moaning ungrateful posts everytime something isn't just the way people would like them but positives practically ignored. I've said it before, but thank Christ this forum wasn't around (in this form) when Rudgie was managing.

I think overweight friends would be best, so we can say we've had a "big" crowd.

Any envelope should be marked "Gate receipts Vale v Arsenal FA Cup replay 1998 - contents not to be revealed to HMRC".
