MK Dons will be looking at the Preston v Bristol City fixture and hoping that if Bristol City can win there, the gap could be cut down to 2 points.

However, If Preston went ahead and word filtered back to the away dugout, it could dent them psychologically. It might be worth flashing it up on the scoreboard at Vale if that happened.

We need to play with the intensity shown in the last 10 minutes against Colchester. I feel most people have had enough of the build up through midfield which is supposedly a good way to play and reach higher levels. But it isn't because our midfield takes too many touches and goes side to side. Then we finally get the ball in to a crossing position there are insufficient potential scorers in the box or they don't have the presence required. At the back and defensive midfield we make too many mistakes and the carelessness of this is really annoying because it's avoidable. We have got to be more intense and not this sterile, slow, boring team that in the ends loses by mistakes.

page is trying to make the players play to his perceived game plan and it's not working, he doesn't appear to have the nouse to devize a plan to suit the players and hasn't followed the basic game plan of making it difficult to play against, all successful teams have been built from the back but we're different we give goals away for free and if the oppositioin can't score then we pop in an own goal or give away a penalty,,,gggrrroooaaannn.

On a positive note, we put in one of our best away performances this season In the 1-0 defeat against MK Dons earlier in season. Had Lines not been sent off we could have got something. We really put them under a lot of pressure in the 2nd half of that game and created loads of chances. Sitting back we will lose heavily.

We played fine but I dont remember one chance being created. They were very poor on the day, much worse than when they were down vale and won 4-2. At their place we had all the ball and created nothing. I agree though, sit back and we will lose, attack and at least we have a chance.

I'm sure I'll be muttering those words in my sleep on Friday night. It's enough to drive us all mad with trepidation.
