Lines to Bristol Rovers on loan?

Looks like he's going out on loan to Bristol Rovers. Silly move is you ask me and also why would we let him go out on loan?

Confirmed on the Official site... I assume he wants first team football which is understandable but I didnt see him dropping to the conference. He is from Bristol however.

 

In the same breath i dont think we have enough quality midfielders to go chucking an above average midfielder like lines out on loan? Unless there is somebody else heading to us?

Strange one for me. We suddenly lack depth in the middle of the park. I guess they'll be some sort of recall clause in the deal but that doesn't help us if someone has to come off in a game.

I guess Birchall/Dodds could do a job there, but at this stage of the season squad depth is crucial.

i guess in this instance we have to trust a manager who has just won us 4 out of 5 that he knows whats best, but yes we do look light in CM

Attitude, morale, wages- any number of reasons, but I really don't want him back unless he starts using the undoubted talent he has.

 

We have had quite gifted players before who did not back it up with sheer hard work, and Id rather give Ryan Lloyd or a similar player a run. Lines has been very disappointing compared to last season and is almost certainly on a high wage.

Due to the reasons mentioned above losing Lines is no great loss, as long as we use the money to bring someone else in. I'm going to trust Page/Smurf on this one.
