Great day out! I thought we were a bit fortunate to go in one up at half time but we were the better side in the second half. Neal was excellent again, as was the whole of the back four although I must admit, I thought that was Inniss' worst game for us - only an 8 out of 10 rather than a 9! He made a couple of mistakes but they came to nowt and he won everything in the air as usual. Hard to pick a MOTM - they should all share it.

And who was that idiot at the back of the stand who threw a bottle on to the pitch in the first half? Sheer idiocy.

Great to hear (idiot aside).

What was the away following?

Perhaps he was the same idiot who decided he wanted to use the womens toilet at ht and then got abusive and threatening when a steward was called to evict him, saying he would sort whoever had grassed him up outside

We will be lucky to get Inniss on a permanent move. Mate of mine who is a palace fan says that he is really rated highly by them and is one for the future. End of the season loan may be possible though?

Either way we need to try to get him as he is definitely the difference to our recent results and has helped ease the pressure on the midfield which has allowed them to get further forward.

Only downside was Ben's woeful finishing, what does he practice in the week.... Passing???

Beyond that I thought it was a Great performance today, awesome super Vale Away support!!! I thought Vesseli had a cracking game, he goes unnoticed a lot of the time, Marshall was class again! O'Connor was everywhere!!

I don't agree that we should be offering contracts now, look at it this way - no one can rest on laurels can they??? They need that impetus to play for their futures and if they don't then why should they be in the team for next seasons serious championship push!

Roll on the playoffs!!!

Must say that today we saw Inniss struggle for the first time with attackers of his own size and weight. To his credit he came through with the help of the rest of the team as did Dickinson who had a very tricky winger to deal with - the pick of the Notts County team. Pleased to see Neal coming off his line and helping the defence with the high balls, but regret that he lost control in the face of provocation and was rightly booked. Inniss also booked for his part in the melee that followed -that's three out of three. I felt that Notts tried to bully and intimidate when all else failed but to our credit we stood up to them. Wingers were excellent - goal, attack, defence. O'Connor and Brown did well in the midfield battle. Pope contributed some great defensive headers as well as proving a handful in attack and Wiiliamson had his best game for some time.
