Division 3 (North) 2015/16

Well I think it's fair to say after Chesterfield that we all know we aren't going to make the play-offs! They were superior in all areas and might well be worth a punt for the sixth spot.

Anyhow, the good news should be the number of local and Northern games next season. It's quite possible that next season will see in Division Three

Wigan and/or Blackpool

Rotherham and/or Leeds

Preston

Bradford

Sheffield United

Chesterfield

Rochdale

Fleetwood

Notts County

Oldham

Doncaster

Barnsley

Scunthorpe

Crewe

Burton

Shrewsbury

Bury

...with Walsall and Coventry not being too far away.

If you had to pick 4 to get rid of, you only have to look at the current bottom four in league One.

I won't lose any sleep if we lose Yeovil, Crawley, Colchester & Gillingham!!

Well at least Liam Burns won't be paying us a visit in the away end.

For those who weren't there, he got chased down to the by-line when we played there about 11 years ago and ended up in a horrible heap among the steps and seats of the Vale end. How he didn't break anything i'll never know.

Wasn't that McSheffrey who went on to score both goals in that game, one from a deflection of the referee?

I can't remember. I actually like grounds like Luton - they are a disappearing species, although I'm not so keen on some of the locals!

So do I, if they could transport the ground to somewhere like say Burslem it would be great. Don't think that we ever won at Kenillworth Road until our last visit there when we beat them 3-1.

As for the Burns shove over the hoarding, it was McSheffrey and he did score against us too, don't recall how or how many he scored though.
