It was the same in Ray's playing days. I remember him (unjustifiably) getting stick for supposed lack of effort at a Meet the Manager in the 70s.

 

I did give him stick for missing from 3 yards at Preston though. :)

What's wrong with been angry at the s***e gate, people moan about high ticket prices and still don't turn up when they're reduced, what do the fans want?

I thought Popey did well, I really enjoyed the insight and his view of some of the players past and present, it helps to put into context team selection etc, the banter with Blakeman was excellent. Popey came over as an honest guy and I got the sense that the dressing room is together and behind Rob Page.

 

I also enjoy Ray W and Cullerton when they're on for similar reasons and credit should be given to Lee Blakeman for anchoring the show, I like his enthusiasm and support for Vale, my wife, who's usually 2 or 3 rooms away, often comes in to enquire if he's had a heart attack yet.

Agreed. I know our presenters often divide opinion but I'd much rather have ours than any of the other ones I've heard. Stoke are in the prem yet every time they're on the commentators make me want to doze off.
