Against a lot of crap teams that a player of his 'supposed' quality should be doing. In terms of his performances, in general, they have been well below par for a long time in my opinion. He may well have scored the winning goal tonight but his overall performance against a poor team has been cringe-worthy at times.

Wilshere is over-rated, but he's a had a decent last couple of games. You would still hope for more though for someone once touted as the next best thing, surely?

 

Rooney's performances for England have been sub-par for God knows how long now and looks like a player well past his best, which shouldn't be the case seeing as he's not even 29 yet.

Not angry at all. I find your Liverpool obsessions hugely amusing, and the way you have to have a scapegoat bogeyman player (Rooney at the moment) even funnier. If someone started a discussion on Syria, you'd manage to get Liverpools players into the conversation effortlessly.

A very average side, with 10 men, and it's taken a free-kick in which the keeper should have saved to win the game. And some people still defend Roy Hodgson and his tactics/ability to get the best out of players? Ridiculous.

 

Oh, Rooney misses yet another sitter. In the last 2 games he could have added a further 5 or 6 to his tally. :rolleyes:
