Certainly not during Valiant 2001's lifetime

 

I get the feeling it would have been Dave Brammer / Alex Smith / Tony Butler on deadline day 12 years ago.

 

Isn't it nice to know that within a couple of days of Robbie's proxy going to the supporters club they **** themselves and think nothing of throwing that money at a shareholder and sponsor in order to save their own árses.

 

Maybe if they'd put proper money into the playing side they wouldn't now be throwing good money after bad.

They conned us with the Luke Rodgers signing as well. Made it look that for the first time in years we'd signed a player for a fee without selling first. Which was true.

 

They then went and sold Jeff Smith the very next day for £60k.
