Read what I said it's advertised on the scoreboard as a free ticket so I can't see your point and if it's as easy as you say "picking up a couple of quid"why don't you have a go yourself!And hopefully you can see I've bought one and had to pay over the odds.Quite frankly I find your quote downright offensive.

The sooner people realise that Smurf is running a business, and not a charity, the better. The only reason people are reacting so badly to these business decisions is due to the absolute shambles of a previous regime, all their freebies and other incentives that any normal, sensible businessman/woman wouldn't even dream of handing out. The free Season Ticket was a business 'perk', so to speak, and isn't a contractual agreement. It's a bonus. Smurf has to make these sort of decisions from a business perspective as he needs to explore every avenue possible to cut needless costs and to improve revenue into the club. 25 free Season Tickets at the full price in July, accumulates to £7,125. That could be the wages for a loan player for a few months, or a couple of loan players for a month or so. It makes business sense. It's just unfortunate that it's been left so late, and I can understand the anger over the communication and short notice, but not with the decision itself.

Not disagreeing with you regarding the business side of things but, once again, the people who are involved (all supporters and part of the customer base) have been the last people to be informed of the changes.

 

Like I said in an earlier post, this kind of thing is happening more and more. You treat your customers with distain and disregard at your peril in business. Smurf May well be putting the club back on an even keel in the business sense but this does not have to be at the expense of people.

 

Not a moan, simply an observation and my take on things as someone in business. After all, forums are then place to express your views I always thought.

when smurf asked for 4000 lucky 7 lottery members to help fund the development squad it was asked how many members vale had at the time and I'm shore the answer was 750 I used to have lucky 7 but I could not get an answer to a simple question what are the numbers of the £10 prize winners it also does not state that there are 6 other clubs involved in the lucky 7 draw and your chance of winning the £1000 top prize is lower .
