Proms from schools

Spent time today with marketing manager and commercial manager from west bromich Albion was great to talk About Ronnie Allen and probbably not so much about the swannie play off final.

We were talking about how much cash was going to west brom from school proms. I knew already because the purpose of my meeting was to provide the decor and entertainment.

Before you all start i was merely helping my wife in her providing the best proms to schools the budget is about 5k do 20 gets you a new player

Does any one know how many proms are booked at the vale this summer

wouldnt have thought many if any at all but with a budget like that i think its worth looking into =]

Places like Keele hall charge about £25 a head. So you won't get £5000 for most. And you are competing with posh hotels and places like keele hall which to be fair, offer surroundings that are difficult to compete with.

Added to that, there aren't even 20 high schools in stoke on Trent. So even if every one of them decided that they would ignore all other viable options, and travel from one side of the city to the other to have a prom a vale, you aren't going to get anywhere near your estimates.

More pie in the sky I'm afraid. Do you know how many school proms our premier league neighbours have done this year?

At least he's got a new story he can drone on about and bash the club with for the next few months!

 

In essence he's right though, good revenue opportunity and something that should have been planned months ago on an ongoing basis creating links with educational bodies but like Andyregs says Keele University is head and shoulders above as a venue.

At £27 to £34.50 per head you would have to go some to get £20k for an event.

 

The margins can't be great either when you look at the costs for catering, suit hire and of course Mrs weareskintandweknowweare's costs!
