It's the job of the commercial department to understand the trend and overcome any short fall... Oh dear! :(

Its the job of the commercial ..blah blah blah " ..... No it aint - its the job of Port Vale supporters to support Port Vale - you do REP , much to your great expense so don't excuse others who have chosen not to. There is no excuse - Adams is staying - buy your season tickets, buy your flexi10 things, come on Vale, lets get behind the club and look forward to a great season

Crikey, just got back off holiday and still find fans having a go at each other about everything Port Vale!!

Season tickets will be purchased before the start of the season, whether they be full tickets/10 game batches , whatever.

Manager and players on getting back from their jollies will also do their business and some of the their decisions will affect the way some fans may think about purchasing tickets in advance.

If Vale can do well this coming season we will attract the " casual Fan" to some games and at the prices they are going to pay at the gate the money will add to the coffers.

We are all wise enough to know Vale by now in so much that we will attract the usual hard core of fans plus some add ons for cheap tickets and bundles so there will be no massive increase in our gates but also we will not drop massively on last season overall.

I am chilled after my break, let's hope some on here can chill too and Que Sara, Vale will be here no matter what fan base we have/players we have/management we have....... perhaps I'm too chilled?

Its not their job or their duty .... its their choice.

from the person who wont be buying a single ticket for the entire 2014/2015 season...

Sorry Geo but I disagree - there aren't many Vale fans who suddenly decided to support Port Vale ( unlike our awful neighbours ) we've all been passed on the baton by dads, second and third generation, it is a duty to keep going, if you cant afford, then fair enough but if you can afford and you "choose" not to then.....well, you're not a fan are you and you certainly give up all rights to criticise the club, its built on people paying for it ( unlike our horrible neighbours ) and if we don't pay for it, it goes away, if we all "choose" not to go, then that's it, no more Port Vale

On other threads have been trying to express my disappointment (making a dogs dinner of it TBH) that 1500 ST holders not renewing puts a huge financial hole in the playing budget. Can anyone explain how we can lose this number of STs after the season we had and the great renewal prices?

I do realise people's circumstances may preclude them renewing, but for the others can it just be the Micky factor? Surely we are Vale aren't we?

I see what you are saying but are we sure its 1,500 as we haven't had any update since the early bird ended

1500 seems a lot and I'm sure it will stand much lower than that when the latest update is aired.

In terms of reasons for not renewing people have already commented on poor home performances, uncertainty of squad/staff for next season, poor PR, cost of tickets etc.. but I genuinely believe its as simple as some fans have simply lost interest in Vale and football in general. However, I do feel that the 10 match bundle will prove popular.
