You're probably right but this is the kind of ambition we need to show. He is nearly 38 and needs to think of the future so a coaching capacity may be right on his radar. There would be no harm in making an enquiry.

i think mickey or geoff should enquire about his wages and maybe invite him here to look arround the club and offer him a player coaching role hes a stunning player still tho and i doubt we can afford him who knows tho i dunno if im right or not but didnt he used to pare up with geoff at west brom maybe he can call in a few favours and get him signed as a vale player coach

why shouldnt we go for phillips or someone of his quality, its the perfect time in his career to look at something like this.

 

most of us complain that the board have no ambition, however then slate each other on here for suggesting making an abitious signing!
