JMW - Praise Thread

He's come under criticism this season at times but he deserves a special mention for me for reaching 10 goals, a cracking achievement for a winger at this level (penalties or no penalties, they still have to be scored).

 

Yet again he's proven to be a match winner and for me getting to this goals mark represents a second succesful season after being in the League 2 Team of the Year last season.

 

Well done JMW, I for one salute you and your achievement :D

At times his positional play and defensive awareness is very poor, but going forward he has made a significant contribution to our successful season and, as you say, ten goals (and a few set ups) is a very good return for a winger (albeit an inconsistent one) in a higher league.

He has done well.

He's a good player but he don't half frustrate me. Great penalty today.

Decent player but as vale2010 says hes frustrating and its hardly a suprise when fans get on his back but on his day he's very good

He took his penalty well. But he does not beat his full back enough for me.

I really don't understand all the stick he gets most weeks because there certainly isn't many wingers in this league who are consistent week in, week out. With JMW, we have a player who will score you goals and quite often give opposition full backs a tough game. For me, we have to keep him as i regard him in our top 6 or 7 players. Just needs to get a few more decent crosses in the box and he will be a good league 1 player.

Add his 10 to those from last season too and its a cracking return from his time here and I for one would like him to sign for a further 2 years,what baffles me is how he gets booed at games and moaned at on here and yet people cream over Dodds,i would take JMW over Dodds every time.

The last 2 games I have watched, our leftback attacked more than JMW did, very poor. Today, he was the same, whether it is because he is on the left wing, I don't know, but he is next to useless, his attempted backpass today could of cost us the game.

I agree with the Dodds issue, I'd give Jeno another 12 month contract, to see if he can be more consistant, Dodds can go on a free, he's had far too many seasons here, without producing anything worth mentioning.

Can be very frustrating when he is not playing to his best or even his general standard. He seems to pick games to shine in.

 

But today he had a good one. Hope he plays the remainder of the games in this manner.

 

Well done for 10 goals this season and hopefully a few more.
