England World Cup kits

There's some ridiculous school of thought that says that kits that are all the same colour look better on HD tv.

Germany are in all white this year.

Spain are in all red.

Portugal are in all red.

It's silly.

These kits must have taken about 5 minutes to design. The margin on them must be ridiculous, even by football shirt standards.

Stan Collymore has tweeted saying there will be a "match shirt" at £90 and a "stadium shirt" at £60

How can their be two different replica shirts? Isn't that a contradiction in terms? And if one of them isn't a replica, why should anyone buy it?

That's what I thought. I actually quite like it but don't fancy paying 90 notes and I don't want to pay 60 notes for a replica that's not a replica. What a load of nonsense.

They do that with rugby kits, instead usually calling them "Players" and "Supporters" kits. It's based on the players or match shirts being more fitted than the others. They don't look particularity different (although with rugby shirts, they tend to do an old school, cotton version too).

Either way, £90 for something that probably cost less than a fiver to produce is scandalous

A person in the 'rag trade' on talksport last night reckoned that at most they cost Nike about £4 to make. What I don't get (well i do really) is why the FA don't stipulate in the bidding process that the shirts must not retail for more than, say, £40..or whatever. Companies would still bid and still make tons of cash

Having said that, no one has to buy the shirt; their choice

One is a true replica of ther shirt the players will wear...incorporates all that 'sweat' technology that they bang on about. The other just looks like the shirt but doesn't include the sweat bit

Why would anyone buy the latter? It's a lot cheaper
