I don't know about bigger crowds but City didn't even fill their stadium last night against Villa,I couldn't believe the number of empty seats in the home sections.

 

City for me is not one of the established clubs..they are trying to elbow their way in and FFP may prevent that

 

Dunno why there were empty seats..I suppose some could not make a Wednesday match (was this a rearranged match?) but even so it was a surprise

apparently their was some bloke threatening to jump off the mancunian way which stopped traffic getting to the etihad.

I personally just think it needs to be clear and simple (but I bet it won't because the authorities are terrified of upsetting the big clubs).

 

If I was implementing this I would give everyone enough time to meet the criteria (which they did) but now that the criteria are known and clubs are still not complying then there needs to be consistent and harsh punishments.

 

As it is generally "rich" clubs who break the rules, a financial fine makes no sense. But I bet if they were docked points they would soon agree to comply with the ruling.

 

It may be wise for the Greg Dyke commission to look at the PL culture at the moment. Perhaps one of the reasons why the national team is failing is because it is fairly easy to buy domestic success (throw enough money around and unless you're QPR success normally follows) - something you can't do in International football.

 

If there was a more level financial playing field then the work of the good clubs, coaches, players would be more obvious and perhaps that could also aid the England side.
