Won 1 out of 10 at Sheffield United what would have happened if he had got the Everton job ? Bill kenwright must have known he was not up to management standard and goes to show players who a legends at clubs don't make the grade as managers.

Agree but thought there would have been a few young Everton players on loan with him only just retiring and must have still had a lot of contacts at Everton.

Spot on. They haven't got it right for quite a few years ago. Their attempt at **** or bust by sacking Danny Wilson at Easter was an unmitigated disaster and one they haven't recovered from.

Spot on sir went 16 games unbeaten at the start of last season and had a bad run and sack the manager. Sums up the majority of chairmen nowadays.

I rate Danny Wilson as a manager,he was instrumental in bringing Charlie Austin into the game from non-league football and helping his development at Swindon Town.He was never going to last long at the Blades due to his long association with Sheffield Wednesday.
