We amateurs in the paddock could see their number 10 was running the show in acres of space, yet nothing was done about it.

Class against crap today I'm afraid. At least George has posted how badly Griff played today.Do we now say "We told you so" to George and REP?. I don't think we should stoop to their petty level.

I wouldn't have said they were class, just not as crap as us.

You can say it if you like fella but you'd be wrong. I said he'd be an asset to the squad. He's proved that. One poor game does not make that wrong. When he's played poor I'll say so, even if it goes against my normally positive view of him. Have you been praising him when he has done well, or have you just kept schtum, not commented and just waited for him to have a poor game so you can make moronic posts like the one you've just made?

Please read my comments, know it all George, about Griff following the Tranmere game.Quote," Griff's best game in a Vale shirt".

Will the real Anthony Griffith please stand up!

Today showed that playing four centre midfielders at home is probably not the best plan. No pace, no outlet (other than hoofing it to Williamson), no ball-retention, no creativity. But, I think it did show how valuable having someone like Hughes to throw on is.

I'd be starting JMW and (possibly) Dodds for the Peterborough game personally.

The gulf in class between the better players in this league and our own X1 is startling.

Brentford, Coventry, Bristol City, Wolves all have players who are miles better, sadly, than our journeymen, most of whom are better suited to Div 2.

I know one poor display should not detract from the last two victories but we are being comprehensively outplayed and don't seem to have the necessary class or guile or tactical awareness to do anything about it.

Like Leon Clarke, Thomas ran the game today by dropping deep and giving them an extra man in midfield. We let him go, turn and run at our defenders and then wonder why we are not getting possession of the ball.

They are a team remember who haven't won a league game - home or away - for over three months! We made them look like Real Madrid.

If you can't match their ability at least cover every blade of grass, mark your man closely, ensure he knows you are there and sweat blood for the cause.

Only Lines and Neal did well, for me, today. I think Neal was partly unsighted for their goal but he made one brilliant save in the first half when Thomas was shooting in and two other very good saves.

My posts are obviously more memorable to you than yours are to mine. I'll take that as a compliment.

So, to clarify, we both agree he was very good at Tranmere and both agree he was very poor today? Yet you feel the need to specifically name me in an attempt at a dig? If that's how you get your kicks then carry on.

Only memorable because they are ****ocks and you are in the minority which is probably how you get your kicks.

I still can't see how Lines and Neal are being spoken of as our stand-outs today but I'm not going to let it worry me. Being positive; it's a point gained and me and Mrs TLV are going round the neighbours' for sushi and sake while we watch Strictly. No swapping though:(

I'd sooner watch today's game on an infinite loop than 5 minutes of Strictly . And what did you call Lines earlier? At least he wasnt wearing ****ing sequins.
