Cheeky. I suspect there wasn't the pressure to succeed under Bratt as there will be under Smurf. Maybe MA is starting to feel the heat after a mixed start and with harder fixtures (on paper) on the horizon over the next 6 weeks, after Carlisle on Saturday.

 

Personally, I don't think he gets on well with Smurf. I think he would prefer Bill/Stan/Uncle Peter to be around and has little time for the fans who wanted rid of them.

I've been saying this for a while. You only have to look at his history; applying to for the Colchester job prior to leaving for Sheff Utd, didn't someone say he applied for a job over the summer too. He won't be out manager come the start of next season, I'm convinced of that.

Adams is spot on, i said the same yesterday , we have too many crappy squad fillers in Shuker, Birchall, Mo, Taylor, Chilvers, Dodds, Davies, Duffy . My issue about that is Adams signed them! Maybe panic stations as we had no squad at the end of May, i dont know.

 

We desperately need a left or right winger so jmw can play the other, and in my opinion we still need a centre back.

According to MA he thinks we are in a relagation fight and questions the wage budget we have at 2.5 M he says that must include the development squad as well....detect a little abbrasive ness between Smurf and Adams as he is a bit coy on wether we can bring in another player today....'Speak to Mr Smurthwaite as he seems to do all the talking on that matter!!'

 

What do people think should we spend the money on a development squad or better players for the first team?

You've missed the point by a mile. I am unhappy with the Manager making statements like this when he has a considerable amount of work to do getting the results right. He signed the players and he knew the budget constraints but I don't agree with him having cheap shots in the local press at the guy who saved the club.
