Vale have secured a share in Northwood to train there.

 

Anyone else heard the same?

 

I've heard similar. Dimensions and Northwood are apparently receiving 1.5 million from Sports Grants and Council to relay the Dimensions surface to a more up to date 3G one and to create a similar surface at Northwood.

 

It may be that the Academy may use these facilities next season??

I know for certain Paul Wildes had discussions with people from the council regarding Northwood Stadium.

 

I don't know if anything was tied up before he left though

I came first at Northwood in the egg & spoon race, but sadly I failed the drugs test !! :))

Dare I say that the lardies have a good set up regarding facilities.

 

They have the use of the Nuffield gym, which is excellent & only a few hundred yards from the stadium & then they have their own indoor training area still within walking distance.

 

Since the Britt stadium was built mostly with tax payers money why don't vale put I case forward to get a purpose built training facility on the Trentham lakes site & get to use the Nuffield gym as well.

 

I'm fed up of being surrounded by stoke players when I'm trying to burn me beer gut off !!

I just think that a purpose built facility with good access in an area that I presume is still ripe for development with access to a great gym that never gets anywhere near full during the day time, is the way forward !.

 

I would seriously put this suggestion to mr Smurthwaite if I ever got the chance to.
