That's a real area of concern for me. While I'm sure Dan Jones and Conor Grant are great people, how on earth do they get two year deals with their injury records? It really ties the club's hands in terms of moving players in and out - if they have two or three players who are regularly unavailable but can't be removed because they are on long contracts. On another note, I would hope a long-term contract for Rhys Walters is a high priority. While it's clear we need a forward and a left-sided player in January, I still think signing up Walters should be up there too. When Arblaster goes back, either in January or at the end of the season then Walters is the obvious choice to take his position alongside Ojo.

Key criteria for the recruitment team:- Scores a couple of goals in an FA Cup tie on the telly. Scores / has a good game against us. Their grandad used to play for Vale.

On that, I only found out a few days ago that Tom is the son of one of my business partners - just glimpsed his profile on LinkedIn and there was a picture of Tom in his new 'Nam kit.
