When John Clarke went to Reading we did withdraw the contract, mainly because he was causing disruption but also because the fee would be nominal as he was only here for 12 months.

That's exactly what will happen...... Sky will wait for the fixture list from the EFL.... then decide which games they are going to show. This means that fixtures/ k.o. times and days will be altered to suit themselves. As for the fans... well f*** em.

There are a number of posters on this thread whose time would be better used by producing their business plan for the club and emailing it to Matt Hancock. Spouting stuff on here serves no actual purpose if they really think they know how to make a difference. And telling us it’s not their job is equally a waste of bandwidth.

When are the fixtures usually released? Just wandering whether most people will have bought their tickets on early bird, before having a chance to check our fixtures. Or could it be that fixtures could be set at the start of the season but later rearranged for TV?

They say you will see your team at least 20 times next season on sky. Every Carabao cup game is live. If you don’t get past round one then that’s 19 league games that will be rearranged kick offs. And clubs have sold out for 300k? I pointed it out weeks ago and cannot believe people didn’t see it then. Almost half a season, or more, will not be played on a Saturday at 3pm. How anyone can buy a season ticket on that knowledge, unless they have no commitments, is utter madness. And all for 300k extra?!! Bonkers. I predict that this season it won’t be that bad for most clubs as most fans will have their head buried in the sand and go and buy their season tickets regardless. And think they can go to every away game like they used to without inconvenience. But as the season progresses they will see the upheaval in the game and next seasons season ticket sales will be dramatically down across the board. The problem is that very few want to see Port Vale v Newport at midday on a Sunday. Port Vale v Harrogate at 7.45 on a Friday night. Morecambe v Port Vale at 3pm on a Sunday. And when I say want to see I mean actually travel up and watch the game. All of this is designed for tv and ratings and for you to stay at home and kill lower league football until the only option is that of the big Americanised style super league for a select few. Any owner who bemoans about this from next season onwards, I have no sympathy for.

In among this does anyone the point where we are able to rescind contract offers? With the youth players like Shorrock and Walters even if they don't sign by that point I'm assuming we would have to keep the offers on the table to qualify for compo unless anyone knows any different?

You are probably right but i didn't realise that,so could be one to keep an eye on,he hasn't really played many games for a 30yr old so maybe some past injury issues

Regarding Kemp,thats why i said he is one i would be looking at if Chislett was to leave,he is a player who could fill in that role imo. I think Swindon would want him back but they have loads of problems by all accounts

I think with Kemp he's either a 10 and allowed to do his stuff or he's average. MK Dons played Jack Payne there and tended to play Kemp as a winger. He still scored a few and got some assists after Christmas.

Won player of the season at Swindon did Kemp. Odd how not deemed good enough for Mk , a bit like that Young , couldn't get in Bradford team yet smashed it somewhere else . Might also have been Swindon?.

By all accounts Charlie Lakin was outstanding after Christmas in league 2. I think he'd probably be a good signing for us. He was Sutton's player of the season and only joined in January. Bobby Kamwa caused us problems when he came on at Burton. He might be someone worth looking at if we do play 343. A lot of pace. I think he's ex Leeds. Both are the age when players either kick on and have a good career, or drift down. Dan Kemp getting a lot of mentions. I think he's a player who only works if you play to his strengths. MK Dons play with wingers and that isn't his game. Hartlepool and Swindon played him just behind a striker and he scored a heap of goal, with assists.

To be fair you can watch every game anyway with a dodgy stick. I think it's going to be awful. People will be booking trains and hotels to get deals only to find it's being moved to a Monday night or whatever. Depends on how much notice they have to give clubs.

Ah right, in that case don’t think it’s a good idea at all especially people with a dodgy fire stick could watch most of the games for free instead of attending in person, could affect attendance’s.
