Booked up on the off chance. At the very least I'll have a weekend in Dublin and be able to take in some League of Ireland football.

Planning to watch Shams v Derry on Friday night.

 

That's two of us at least......Derry City were my late Mums favourite team as she originated from there......I cudna they play in Red and White stripes........:(

My son and family live in Bray so I will probably be at the match, will write a report. If you're going, Bray is about 15 miles south of Dublin on the coast, nice little holiday town, a bit like Llandudno. Getting to the ground, you could take the airport bus from the airport. Takes an hour and will drop you at the other end of Bray, leaving 15min walk, pleasant enough. Expensive though. Otherwise if you get to Dublin, catch the Dart (train) to Bray station. The station is right by the ground. When you come off the station, turn left across the level crossing and the ground is immediately the other side of the road.

Sea front is the other way about 100 yards, Sinead's house is only about 100 yards from the ground facing the sea. Nice pubs, long flat promenade, about a mile, lovely Italian ice cream at a little shop just off the prom, nicer than the colourful ice cream shop on the prom. If you're staying a couple of days, take the Dart to the next station, Greystones, which is the last on the line. The ride is fantastic as the train clings to the cliffside, takes about 15 mins. Great fishing here off the jetty and lovely beaches.
