3rd best team in the league, not bad really.

 

After all the hard work earlier in the season--Pity we couldn't have had a better run-in in the final third of the season and finished second, but would have gladly accepted third if I'd been offered that the season's start!

How many of us would have taken that at the start of the season? Now it just feels disappointing. My only misgiving is we drew our last 3 games.

After last week, I never saw this coming!!! It's such a shock!

 

It does feel slightly anti-climatic. Celebrated last week and the game this week felt like it was just dotting the i's and crossing the t's.

 

But, still can't moan at promotion now matter how or when it arrives. Given the dross we have suffered in recent years and all of the off-field antics, it is finally nice to be focusing on on the pitch matters and seeing some decent football. UTV.

We are up...smile and be glad..started the season in Admin...seriously....Its a fairy tale ending really to finish third.

 

I wonder how many in the footballing world, particularly the media, will give Mickey and the players the credit they deserve for such a fantastic achievement. Most clubs would have been happy to survive but no, not this manager and this squad, who have the nerve to win promotion. Right from the beginning Mickey dug his heels in and wouldn't give it up and I guess he will be loyal to so many of the players who stuck with him. True Sheffield steel.

 

I also wonder if it has ever been done before, when a team in admin has won promotion. It would be interesting to know. Anyway, we're up, so happy days.
