Well it seems that, once again, fan power will have a huge say in things.

 

It is surely impossible for the club to continue trading without the cashflow

traditionally generated in the summer. We have been here before of course with the Glover situation, but this time round there is an even worse feeling around the place. The pre-Christmas optimism has evaporated but more importantly a feeling of utter apathy seems to have settled over the place.

 

In its' own way, this is more damaging than a relegation or a favourite manager leaving. And if we thought Division 4 is dross now, wait til next season. Maybe not even a Shrewsbury to relish, maybe left behind by Stevenage, and meanwhile joined by Crawley Town.

 

The biggest worry has to be - how long are we doomed to stay in this league for? I simply cannot contemplate leaving this division in the other direction, but promotion seems light years away.

 

Our ONLY hope is to see this Board off, and the ONLY way to do that is to keep your cash in your pocket. If they can't hear the protests and they can't sense the anger, they will DEFINITELY feel the pain and embarrasment of pitiful season-ticket sales.

 

EVERYONE must stand firm on this one!!

Smithie - you may not be able to contemplate it but our last 25 games have produced 6 wins 9 Draws and 10 defeats. 27 pts from 25 games. With the current board in charge, player departures in the summer and no decent manager lined up, i'd say relegation is a distinct possibility.

 

If you can get 6/1 or over i'd reckon thats a fair bet. God forbid!

I think there's a few (a very small minority now) that think we are enjoying what is going on. But that ain't the case.

 

I can't wait for us to all start talking football again, and for the fans to start getting on with one another, and for the protests and hatred to end.

 

If we all hold our line then we will be in a much better place on the other side of these dark times! Short term pain for long term gain.

How true! But I'm really proud to be a Vale fan, seeing how we have pulled together to fight this cause! None of us can take this **** any more, and the sooner Bratty and his bum boys wake up the better.
